The West Yorkshire outfit failed to return to winning ways in the Championship on Saturday afternoon, as they went down 2-0 to Cardiff at home.

Head coach Monk has revealed what he told his players at half time.

“We’re disappointed with the result and frustrated, but this is something new for the group,” Monk told BBC Sport. “We’ve done so well here and I think teams are beginning to approach us differently.
“This was probably the first time a team has come to frustrate us, defend in their box, defend deep and make it difficult for us. We prodded first half and couldn’t find a way through.

“At half time, I said it would be about patience and persistence. It was a totally different situation to what we’ve faced before, and that was a mark of respect, but one we need to learn from.”

Leeds are fifth in the Championship table at the moment with 54 points from 31 matches and are very much in the running for the playoffs.
The West Yorkshire club will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Bristol City at Elland Road in the league.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, the Whites had 71% of the possession, took 17 shots of which three were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.
