Pedro Obiang scored for West Ham United against Southampton in the Premier League last weekend.
West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has spoken highly of midfielder Pedro Obiang on the club’s official website.
Obiang joined Premier League outfit West Ham from Italian side Sampdoria in the summer of 2015.
The 24-year-old midfielder has established himself as an important player for the Hammers.

The midfielder scored for the London club in their 3-1 victory over Southampton away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League last weekend.

Gold has predicted Obiang to add more goals to his tally.
“I was so pleased to see Pedro Obiang get his first goal for the club and he is a real talent,” Gold wrote on West Ham’s official website. “His passing, tackling, energy is exceptional and he deserves his place in the team.

“He has been unlucky not to score before last Saturday and it wouldn’t surprise me if he now goes on a goalscoring run and scores a lot more for the club. He is a regular in the team and is a fans’ favourite.”

West Ham are ninth in the Premier League table at the moment with 31 points from 24 matches.
Slaven Bilic’s side will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on West Bromwich Albion at the London Stadium in the league.
It promises to be a very exciting game of football, and there should be a few goals over the course of the 90 minutes.
West Brom are currently eighth in the standings with 36 points from 24 games.
