West Ham United fans do not appear to have forgiven Dimitri Payet for leaving the London Stadium…

West Ham United fans have trolled Dimitri Payet and Marseille on Twitter, after the midfielder scored his first goal since returning to the French club last night.

Payet’s deflected free kick sealed Marseille’s victory over Guingamp.

But West Ham fans didn’t seem too pleased that their former star had made a good start to life back at Marseille.

Payet is still settling back into life at the Stade Velodrome, after rejoining in the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old was eager to leave West Ham to move back to France, and the way he went about getting the move did not go down well with West Ham fans.

West Ham do not seem to have been too badly affected by their former talisman’s departure so far, as their form has actually improved.

The Hammers have strung together a good run of results in recent weeks, to climb up to ninth place in the Premier League table.
