Moussa Sissoko is a good player and has proved himself in the Premier League, but he has not been great for Tottenham Hotspur this season. Sissoko is nothing more than a squad player at Tottenham at the moment.

The 27-year-old midfielder did not have a great 2015-16 campaign with Newcastle United and was unable to prevent the Magpies from getting relegated to the Championship.
Sissoko, though, was superb for France at the 2016 European Championship last summer and earned the move to Tottenham. As reported by BBC Sport at the time, Spurs had to pay Newcastle as much as £30 million in order to secure the services of the midfielder.
It is quite a lot of money and the White Hart Lane faithful would have expected the former Toulouse star to play a key role for the team this season. Things, though, have not turned out according to plan.

Sissoko has featured in 15 Premier League matches for Tottenham so far this campaign. The 27-year-old has failed to score a single goal and has created 16 chances.
Former Arsenal and Celtic forward Charlie Nicholas has suggests that Spurs should have not sign Sissoko from Newcastle in the summer of 2016.
“I never got the Sissoko one,” said Nicholas on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News HQ last Saturday (broadcast from 12pm, February 4). “I never really thought that Spurs required that type of player. I think they could have found someone for a lot less money, if I am honest.”
