Newcastle United are reportedly willing to sell Vurnon Anita in the near future.
Rafael Benitez’s reported willingness to allow Vurnon Anita to leave, after previously rejecting offers, as per the Chronicle, shows his new found faith in Newcastle United right-back DeAndre Yedlin.
The American international was brought to Newcastle from Tottenham Hotspur last summer, and initially he had to bide his time before getting a place in the Magpies’ first-team.
Anita appeared to be favoured to Yedlin over the early part of the season, and the Dutchman started his side’s first eight matches this season.

Yedlin had to make do with playing in right midfield in his first few appearances for Newcastle, and it wasn’t until the end of September that the 23-year-old got an opportunity to start on the right hand side of Newcastle’s defence.
Yedlin impressed in that match against Aston Villa, and claimed an assist during a 1-1 draw.

However, Yedlin has never managed to string together more than three starts in a row until recently.
Yedlin has now played 90 minutes in each of Newcastle’s last four matches – and Benitez’s reported intention to sell Anita proves that he has earned the Spanish manager’s trust.
