Long hair, short socks and a swagger to match, we ask Everton fans just how good is the man who made Yaya Toure look like a has-been in the process of scoring his first goal for the club.

It’s been a fairly stop-start season for Ronald Koeman at Everton so far, but finally the Toffees appear to be kicking into gear. A massive 6-3 thrashing of Bournemouth over the weekend shows that this team are finally starting to click under the Dutchman, as they go in search of a European place.

Part of Koeman’s recent success has been down to blending the longer-serving players like Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley, with a host of new talent. Youngsters such as Mason Holgate, Ademola Lookman and Tom Davies have gotten Everton fans really excited for the future.

So just how far can Tom Davies go? HITC Sport asked Everton fans for their views and opinions…

“He can be as good as Lampard for me” said one Everton fan. “If he starts banging the goals. He’s fantastic. Fearless on the ball.”

“I think he’s going to be a classy player. I think he’s going to be hard worker for the team and I think he’s got that something that Everton have needed for a long time” added another Everton fan, who was clearly delighted by the emergence of Tom Davies.

Asked about Davies’ progress, one Evertonian said “we won’t know for another 12 months or so, but based on what we’ve seen up to now, that lad is like getting a £30 million signing; what class he is!”

Everton fans are clearly excited about this man’s future; do Everton have a future England international in their ranks?
