The Portuguese international struggled to make an impact at the City Ground.
Yesterday saw Nottingham Forest confirm that that Portuguese midfielder Lica had left the club to join his former side Estoril on loan, after an ineffective half a season at the City Ground.
He is clearly happy to have made the move from Forest. He was speaking to the club’s official website when he stated he felt like he was returning home with the move back to the Estadio Antonio Coimbra da Mota:
“I am very happy to return to Estoril where I always felt at home. The feeling is that I’m coming home.

“Now I have less hair and more age than the other time I was here but the commitment and willingness to help is the same. I’m going to continue to use the 88 that has only to do with the year I was born.”
The 28-year-old, who has one cap for the Portugal national team, spent last season on loan at Vitoria Guimares after failing to settle at Porto following his move from Estoril in 2013.
He previously spent two successful seasons at Estoril and will be hoping to rediscover his best form at the club.

Lica has been ineffectual at Forest this season. He played just seven times and fans of the club were thoroughly disappointed in what they saw from an apparent Portuguese international.
The attacking midfielder will now look to get his career back on track, with his long-term future also looking likely to be away from the City Ground.
