How much could Tottenham knock off Bruma fee if they use Janssen as a makeweight?

Tottenham Hotspur want a Galatasaray player and the Turkish side want Vincent Janssen, so what chance a swap deal?

A recent report from the London Evening Standard claimed Galatasaray remain interested in Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen after they originally failed with a January bid.

It was no surprise Tottenham refused to sanction an exit – temporary or otherwise – when they are so short of striking options aside from Harry Kane. But if the Turkish club are still keen could they use the Dutchman as a makeweight in a deal to bring Bruma to White Hart Lane; and if so, how much could they knock off the winger’s price in the process?

As reported by Turkish website Hurriyet earlier this year, Tottenham are keen to bring Bruma to North London, and if Galatasaray want Janssen it does not take a genius to suggest a swap deal could be on the cards.

The problem is, Janssen’s price is only going to have dropped after his struggles in front of goal this season, and Tottenham are unlikely to get close to the £18.5million they paid for him only last summer (as reported by the Daily Mail).

A figure closer to £10million may be the best they can hope for if he fails to score from open play in a whole campaign, but that would still allow Tottenham to sign Bruma for a cut-price fee while swapping one player’s wages with another’s.

Only time will tell how this one plays out, but Tottenham need new wingers and strikers who can actually score in the Premier League, so a swap deal is not beyond the realms of possibility.
