West Ham United have been linked with a move for Joe Hart.

Pundit Shaka Hislop has told ESPN that he can’t see Manchester City’s Joe Hart signing for West Ham United, even if there is interest this summer.

Hart, 29, spent ten years with City following a 2006 move from Shrewsbury Town, and whilst he made almost 350 appearances for the club and won two Premier League titles, he found himself on the chopping block last summer.

Pep Guardiola arrived as City’s manager and chose to bring in Claudio Bravo as his new first-choice goalkeeper, sending Hart out on loan to Italy with Serie A side Torino for the season.

Hart was impressed in Italy, retaining his place as England’s first-choice goalkeeper in the process, but he’s scheduled to return to City at the end of the season, when Hart is expected to be sold.

Premier League clubs are bound to be keen on signing Hart, and Sky Sports recently reported that West Ham United are keen to land him at the end of the season.

Manager Slaven Bilic does have two goalkeepers at his disposal in Adrian San Miguel and Darren Randolph, but having switched his goalkeepers already this season, Bilic may want to land more of a regular first-choice.

Hart fits the bill, but Bilic did tell the London Evening Standard last week that West Ham weren’t pursuing for Hart, as much as he rated the City misfit.

Now, former Hammers goalkeeper and current pundit Shaka Hislop has told ESPN that he doesn’t think Hart will be heading to the London Stadium this summer, even though he’s a great goalkeeper and West Ham could look to sign one at the end of the season.

“I agree with Slaven Bilic – I think there’s a lot to like about Joe Hart,” said Hislop. “Pep Guardiola and him are not seeing eye-to-eye for whatever reason, and ever since, Hart has been linked with a move back to the Premier League as he’s only on loan at Torino.”

“He’s been linked a lot with Liverpool, and I think Hart – still England’s No. 1 – will attract a lot of interest, but from teams higher up in the table. As much as there may be a bit of a need for West Ham in terms of the goalkeeping department, I don’t feel that Hart sees his future at West Ham,” he added.
