Aston Villa were beaten 2-1 by Nottingham Forest in their most recent outing.
Steve Bruce has told the Birmingham Mail that he is convinced Neil Taylor can make a big difference for Aston Villa.
The claret and blues changed to a 3-5-2 formation against Nottingham Forest in their most recent match.
Although Villa lost 2-1 to Forest, there were signs of promise on display, and Bruce intends to stick with the system.

When Villa took on Forest, Birkir Bjarnason was forced to play as an auxiliary left wing-back, but he never looked entirely natural in the position.
And Bruce feels that Taylor, who missed out on playing at the City Ground due to illness, will be a huge player for his side this season.
“Taylor will make a big difference when he comes in to the left hand side,” said Bruce.

“Unfortunately he was sick on Friday bight so he couldn’t play.”
Taylor was one of a number of new recruits which Villa made during the January transfer window.
The Welsh international fell out of favour at Swansea City, and moved on to play regular first-team football again.
Taylor’s Villa debut is expected to come on Saturday, when Bruce’s men take on struggling Ipswich Town.
