“A few trophies, that will be perfect. We need time to try to create a strong team, a strong club, a winning mentality, we need to finish the new stadium. At that point we will be ready to fight like now but with more tools and to be one of the best teams in the world.”

The Lilywhites are expected to move into their new 61,000 capacity stadium for the start of the 2018/19 season.

The switch to their bigger arena will bring new riches to the football club and, in turn, help them compete financially with Europe’s biggest clubs.
