The Schalke loanee is having second thoughts about a permanent move to Gelsenkirchen.
It is being reported in Germany that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb is having doubts about making a move to his current loan club Schalke 04 permanent.
Spox reports that he is unsure of making the deal permanent, as the club struggle to qualify for European football.
Schalke have an agreement to sign him from Spurs for a fee reported by the Independent to be in the region of £17 million.

However, if he does not want to make the move then Schalke will end up missing out.
So what should Tottenham do with the Algerian?
Some of his comments since the loan exit have alienated him from Tottenham fans and not many would welcome him back.
This season has also seen the emergence of Harry Winks as a genuine first-team option and Tottenham remain in the hunt for the Premier League title.

There is no doubt that Bentaleb has a serious amount of talent and has shown that this season at Schalke.
However, with Winks coming through and Tottenham already well stocked in central midfield, a return to White Hart Lane may be a futile one for the Algerian.
