The forward helped Spurs to a 2-0 win over Norwich City in the FA Youth Cup – making it five goals in three in the competition.

Tottenham Hotspur’s youth team continued their march towards the business end of the FA Youth Cup on Thursday night by dispatching Norwich City 2-0.

And Kazaiah Sterling continued to make a name for himself at this level by scoring both goals in an impressive first half performance.

It means that in the club’s three Youth Cup appearances, the 18-year-old has a superb five goals, having netted a hat-trick in an emphatic win over Stevenage back in November.

Sterling’s performances this season are another indication of the talent Spurs have in their academy, and the England Under-18 player has already been name checked by Mauricio Pochettino as someone expected to make a push for the first team under his watch.

Much like recent seasons, Harry Kane hasn’t found the back up he would have hoped for within the Tottenham’s senior attacking ranks, and no other attacker has come through the academy with any great success since the England star.

But as Spurs continue their progress in the Youth Cup with a quarter final place, Sterling has once again made clear that he has a player to get excited about.
