Anton Donkor made his Everton bow in a development squad fixture against Manchester United.
Ronald Koeman has told the Liverpool Echo that he was not impressed by Everton new boy Anton Donkor’s first display for his side.
Donkor has been signed on loan by Everton from Wolfsburg, and was handed a chance to start for the Merseyside outfit’s development side in midweek.

The attacker earned rave reviews for the way he played against Manchester United’s under-23’s from supporters in attendance.

Donkor was a constant menace to United’s backline during the contest, and he managed to claim an assist.
However, Koeman says that he was not impressed by Donkor’s first appearance in a blue shirt.

“Impressed? Not. That is something you did not expect. I spoke to the boy. He gets the opportunity to be with the U23. Maybe sometimes he can train with the first team,” Koeman said of Donkor.
“I wasn’t impressed. I expect more from everybody.”

Whether Donkor will start for Everton’s first-team this season remains to be seen, but Koeman has previously shown great faith in youngsters since arriving at Goodison Park.
The likes of Tom Davies, Mason Holgate and Ademola Lookman have all been given chances in the Toffees’ senior squad this season.
