The Hammers are currently 11th in the table with 28 points from 23 matches, and while they suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester City last time out, recent wins have seen them move away from the drop zone.

As for Southampton, they are one place and one point below West Ham as things stand so this match is vital for both clubs.

In early team news, West Ham are without Angelo Ogbonna, Arthur Masuaku, Andre Ayew, Havard Nordtveit and Diafra Sakho.

As for Southampton, they cannot call on Virgil van Dijk, Jeremy Pied, Matt Targett or Charlie Austin, while Jay Rodriguez and James Ward-Prowse are rated at 75 per cent to recover from an ankle injury and a knock respectively.
