Jansson’s 89th-minute header won the game for the Whites on Wednesday night.
Pontus Jansson cemented his terrace hero status at Elland Road even further on Wednesday night by heading home an 89th-minute winner for Leeds United at Ewood Park.
It looked as though the Whites were going to have to settle for a draw against Blackburn Rovers after Stuart Dallas’ stunning opener was cancelled out by Elliot Bennett’s strike with seven minutes left.
However, Jansson rose highest to power in a corner with just over a minute left on the clock, sending the travelling fans bonkers.

Amid all the flailing limbs that accompany a late winner away from home, one Leeds fan managed to hold onto his phone after filming the corner from which Jansson won the game.

It is no surprise how wildly the big Swedish defender’s goal was celebrated in the away end at Ewood.

Noel Whelan’s instant reaction to Leeds win and Stuart Dallas performance
The three points, sealed in the most dramatic of fashions, keeps the Whites’ genuine hopes of automatic promotion to the Premier League well and truly alive.
Leeds have now pulled back to within a point of Reading in third, and are just five points off second spot thanks to Ciaran Clark’s last-gasp own goal denying Newcastle United victory against QPR.
