West Ham United were offered the chance to sign the former Juventus man on deadline day, according to reports.
The Hammers have reportedly rejected the chance to sign free agent and former Juventus defender Martin Caceres today, after Slaven Bilic was put off by the player’s £100,000 per week wage demands, according to the Mirror, cited on their live transfer blog update at 16:15.

The 29-year-old has been without a club since the summer, when his contract expired in Turin, and he has been linked with a move to a whole host of Premier League clubs.

West Ham have already signed Jose Fonte from Southampton during this month’s transfer window, and are not in desperate need of another defensive addition.
The report from the Mirror goes on to claim that a number of other Premier League clubs also rejected the chance to sign Caceres today, in their live transfer blog at 16:15.
