Derby County were also keen on the wantaway Wigan Athletic winger, but Norwich are set to win the race.
Norwich City are set to land Wigan Athletic winger Yanic Wildschut in a £7 million deal, HITC Sport understands.
Derby County were also keen on the Dutchman, who angered Wigan by handing in a transfer request on Monday.
Though the Latics rejected that request, the club admitted via an official statement that they would sell Wildschut for an offer that matches their valuation, which Norwich now appear to have done.

Wildschut’s arrival at Norwich is likely to signal Robbie Brady’s exit from Carrow Road, with Premier League Burnley thought to be leading the race for the Irishman.
Wildschut only moved to Wigan on a permanent basis in January last year, helping the Lancashire side to the League One title in May.
And the 25-year-old has continued his fine form into the Latics’ Championship campaign, scoring four goals and creating two in 25 appearances.
Derby have been linked with a number of wide players this month, but have only managed to recruit St Mirren teenager Kyle McAllister so far.

And it remains to be seen whether the Rams will turn to alternative targets ahead of Tuesday’s 11pm deadline.
Is Wildschut a good signing for Norwich City – and will Derby County regret their failure to land him?
