Manchester City have rejected a bid from an unnamed Championship club for midfielder Aaron Mooy, according to reports.
According to a report published in the Yorkshire Post, Manchester City have rejected a bid from an unnamed Championship club for midfielder, Aaron Mooy. The Australian midfielder, who is currently on loan at Huddersfield Town, has been vital to the Terriers outstanding season so far, and their push for a play-off place come the end of the season.
The report goes on to suggest that, though Manchester City have repelled the bid, manager Pep Guardiola could be considering cutting the 26-year-old’s time with the Terriers short in order to have him cover Fernandinho’s absence in his squad.

Huddersfield will undoubtedly be hoping to keep hold of Mooy until the end of the season, with the Australian having played 29 games for the West Yorkshire club so far this term.
However, with a number of clubs in the Championship capable of spending big money, arguably out-pricing Huddersfield in the market, David Wagner’s side could be at risk of losing one of the most important players before the window closes tomorrow.
