The Everton duo look set to quit Goodison Park for Sunderland.
Former Everton and Sunderland midfielder Don Hutchison has passed comment on the Black Cats’ capture of Toffees pair Darron Gibson and Bryan Oviedo.
Gibson and Oviedo were confirmed as Sunderland players on Monday afternoon, as manager David Moyes reunited with two of the players he signed while in charge of Everton.
The Premier League’s bottom side were in desperate need of reinforcements, having been decimated by injuries this term – although the new arrivals have made just eight appearances between them so far.
And Hutchison, it seems, is far from impressed by his former club’s recruitment.
He posted the following on Twitter:
To compound matters for Moyes, the Scot was forced into selling left-back Patrick van Aanholt to Crystal Palace, while struggling to land a number of targets of his own.
Report: Everton and Southampton identify another shared target
Van Aanholt’s sale should however leave the Sunderland boss with some cash to play with as he looks to add to the capture of free agent Joleon Lescott this month – another player he manged at Everton.

Will Gibson and Oviedo prove Hutchison wrong at Sunderland?
