The Swansea City winger has been linked with Leeds United, as well as about every other Championship promotion chaser.
Leeds United fans may scoff at reports by The Sun claiming supposed target Modou Barrow would cost a hefty £8 million but, when you compare this to Hadi Sacko’s monstrous buy-out clause, suddenly the Swansea City wideman looks a rather solid investment.
The Sun adds that the Gambian winger, who has been heavily linked with Championship rivals Newcastle United and Aston Villa in recent weeks, is on Garry Monk’s radar as he aims to give Leeds’ promotion push an extra shot-in-the-arm via a speedy and exciting attacker.

However, it’s tempting to believe these reports are linked inexorably to the fact that Hadi Sacko, ingenious or infuriating in equal measure, is only at Elland Road on a temporary basis from Sporting Lisbon, even if he did confirm to Sud Ouest that Leeds will not be forced to trigger his £51 million buy-out clause if they want to sign him permanently.

After all, both Barrow and Sako are naturally similar players and, in truth, there is only room in Monk’s squad for one or the other.
However, viewed through the sphere of stats, there is very little to separate Swansea’s flying winger and Leeds’ erratic, enigmatic wideman.

Sacko’s average of just 0.4 successful crosses per game raises some concerns though he continues to outperform Barrow in terms of goals and assists; albeit in a lower division.

However, while Barrow is more than accustomed to Monk’s tactics having worked together at the Liberty, Sacko has integrated seamlessly into Leeds’ attack. And you can’t put a price on that.
