Leeds United attacker Souleymane Doukara has revealed to The Yorkshire Evening Post what head coach Garry Monk told him in pre-season.
Doukara, who is 25 years of age and can operate as a striker or as a winger, has been a rejuvenated figure for Leeds this campaign.
The former Catania man has scored five goals and created 15 chances in 17 Championship appearances for the Whites so far this season.

During the 2015-16 campaign, Doukara scored three goals and created 14 chances in 23 league matches for the West Yorkshire outfit.
Leeds are doing well in the Championship at the moment and have established themselves as genuine playoff contenders.
The West Yorkshire outfit are currently fourth in the standings with 51 points from 28 matches.

Doukara, who is a rejuvenated figure at Elland Road this campaign, has revealed what Leeds head coach Monk told him in pre-season.
“At the beginning of the season I wasn’t fit,” Doukara told The Yorkshire Evening Post. “I’d come late for pre-season and the first thing the manager said to me was ‘get back fit because we need you in this team. You can help us to achieve something’.
“That was good to hear and it’s what I did. I went training every day and worked very hard on my own. I wanted to get back in the team.”
Leeds will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Sutton United away from home at the Borough Sports Ground in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
