Aston Villa reportedly could swap Jordan Ayew for Swansea City’s Neil Taylor.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Aston Villa are attempting to sign Neil Taylor from Swansea City.

Taylor has dropped out of favour at Swansea, after the Welsh side signed Martin Olsson from Norwich City earlier this month.

And Villa believe that the 27-year-old has the ability to enhance the quality of their defence.

Swansea are keen to sign Jordan Ayew, meaning a swap deal is now a possibility.

Villa value Ayew highly, but would be prepared to let him leave. They are now looking for Taylor and a cash sum, if they are to part ways with the Ghanian international.

Taylor is said to be open to a move to Villa, as he realises that he is now second choice at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea reportedly feel that Ayew has the quality to help them, as they look to avoid the drop in the Premier League table.

Ayew has played 22 times for Villa so far this season, scoring on three occasions.
