Reading have agreed a deal to sign Steaua Bucharest winger Adrian Popa, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Popa was in attendance for Reading's 2-1 win over Cardiff City in the Championship on Saturday and he has undergone a medical at the Madejski Stadium.
Reading boss Jaap Stam is keen to bolster his attacking options before the transfer window slams shut next Tuesday and he has lined up a deal for Popa.

Popa is set to sign a three-and-a-half year deal with Reading after they agreed an undisclosed fee with Steaua Bucharest for the attacker.
The 28-year-old joined Steaua in 2012 from Concordia Chiajna and he has impressed at Steaua helping the club win three league titles, a Romanian Cup and two league cups during his time in the Romanian capital.
Popa, who can play on either winger, has scored three goals in 31 appearances in all competitions so far this season for Steaua and he was a member of the Romania squad at Euro 2016 last summer.
Reading have made just one signing so far this month in the shape of Tiago Ilori from Liverpool and Stam feels they need to add to their attacking options to maintain their bid for promotion to the Premier League.
The deal is expected to be finalised in the next 24 hours and he could be available for Tuesday's clash at Birmingham City.
