Leeds United have been surprisingly quiet in the January transfer window so far.
Garry Monk has told BBC Radio Leeds that he is still hoping that Leeds United will bring in players before Wednesday’s deadline.
Leeds have signed Pablo Hernandez on a permanent transfer this January, but they have failed to make any other additions.
Monk has persistently stated his desire to bring in at least two new players to strengthen Leeds’ promotion challenge, but no fresh faces have arrived.

And Monk appears to be getting slightly frustrated by his side’s inactivity in the transfer window.
“I hope so. I think it’s very clear, I’ve said it all along, that we need those players,” Monk said, when asked whether Leeds would have a new signing before the end of the month. “But maybe the club are best to answer when and where that is going to happen.”
Leeds are expected to seal the signing of Pontus Jansson on a permanent deal soon, but that transfer has not been officially announced yet.

The Whites are also thought to be chasing a range of other targets, but they have been unable to complete a move yet.
Leeds’ lack of squad depth was highlighted earlier today, when they crashed out of the FA Cup to Sutton United.
Leeds’ fringe players could not cope against non-league opposition, and showed an alarming lack of quality.
Leeds are next in action on Wednesday evening, when they take on struggling Blackburn Rovers.
