Celtic are dominating the Scottish Premiership, but Brendan Rodgers is still keen to strengthen his options further still.
The Hoops have suffered a blow in their reported pursuit of Eupen striker Henry Onyekuru, after the club’s sporting director Christoph Henkel ruled out the sale of the 19-year-old Nigerian, as quoted by Glasgow Live.
Celtic have already had a bid for the youngster rejected by the Belgian outfit, according to the Scottish Sun.
And their hopes of getting any kind of deal for Onyekuru over the line have taken a hit, after a senior club official ruled out the possibility of the striker leaving the club this month, because they have not yet secured their safety in the top tier of Belgian football.

“We aren’t sure to stay in Division One. Therefore we can’t be separated from such an attacking player as Henry Onyekuru before summer.”

And Onyekuru would certainly meet that criteria, should Celtic ever manage to get their hands on the Nigerian.
