West Bromwich Albion sold Saido Berahino to Stoke City last week, ending an 18-month period of uncertainty regarding the player’s future.
When speaking to reporters during a press conference, Stoke City’s new signing Saido Berahino delivered a message to West Brom fans, and once again offered an apology for the manner in which he carried himself during his time at the Hawthorns, as quoted by BBC Sport.
The 23-year-old completed his £12 million move to the BET365 Stadium last Friday, having had to endure a bitterly disappointing last year or so with the Baggies – mostly down to his own actions, it has to be said.

And Berahino admitted making mistakes during his time at West Brom, when speaking to the media, and insinuated that there were things going on behind the scenes at West Brom that the fans may have been unaware of, as quoted by BBC Sport:
“Of course I’ve got some regrets. Obviously I could have handled it much better. But I was still a young lad, I got put in a situation that I don’t think most footballers will ever be in. The fans didn’t really know what was going on and I was the one to blame. I take responsibility for all my actions, all the wrong things that I’ve done. I’ve said it before, the West Brom fans deserve an apology from me for the way that I’ve gone on, but now I’m here and I’m raring to go.”

It will be interesting to see if Berahino manages to prove his true worth during his time with the Potters, but after having not played since September, Stoke fans will surely have to be patient before they see the best of the 23-year-old.
And if he does go on to realise his potential, £12 million will turn out to look like quite the bargain.
