Leeds United face a tricky tie in the fourth round of the FA Cup away at Sutton United.
During an exclusive interview with LUTV, former Whites boss and current club ambassador Eddie Gray highlighted what could prove to be a potential problem for Garry Monk’s men when they take on Sutton United on Sunday in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The West Yorkshire outfit have exceeded expectations so far this season, and are currently flying high in third position in the Championship table, after a run of eight wins from their last 11 league outings.

And Gray, who spent two separate spells in charge at Elland Road, pinpointed the artificial surface that Leeds will have to play on against Sutton as a potential stumbling block in their hopes of progressing through to the fifth round of the cup, when speaking to LUTV:
“The thing about it is they are going to play on that false surface, and they’re [Sutton] used to it. You’re not playing on grass, and it is different when you do that. They can wet it, or keep it dry, so the the bounce is completely different, and they will know how to play on it.”

Whilst Garry Monk’s priority will undoubtedly still be to gain promotion to the Premier League, a good run in the cup cannot be underestimated, as far as the team’s confidence is concerned.
The Whites have not won the FA Cup since their triumph in 1972, and with the way they have been playing this season, who knows how far they could go in the competition this year.
