Leon Bailey has exploded onto the scene this season with Genk but Everton and Hull City look set to be disappointed.
Everton and Hull City look set to miss out on Jamaican wonderkid Leon Bailey, DH reports, with Bayer Leverkusen in the driving seat to secure his signature.
The 19-year-old is one of the most in-demand youngsters on the continent with his startling performances for Belgian side Genk, particularly in the Europa League, attracting attention from a whole host of clubs from Chelsea and Liverpool, Roma to Napoli.
Bailey is the second highest goalscorer in Europe’s secondary club competition, netting four times in six group games while also completing more dribbles than any other player in the competition.
Consequently, the Daily Mail reported that Hull City and Everton had identified the £10.3 million teenager as the ideal January target.

Marco Silva’s Hull could have funds to play with if Robert Snodgrass completes a move away this month, with Bailey offering a directness and eye for goal lacking in a rather timid Tigers attack.
Furthermore, Everton are also in the market for a winger having sold Gerard Deulofeu to AC Milan and, with reported target Mbaye Niang set for Watford, Bailey could have replaced the Spaniard’s trickery and ability to ghost past dazed defenders.
However, the Premier League duo now look set to miss out with Bayer Leverkusen, struggling in mid-table in the Bundesliga, looking certain to complete an impressive transfer coup, DH reports.

They add that a transfer fee has already been agreed meaning, with just a few days remaining in the transfer window, Everton and Hull will be forced to look elsewhere if they want to add another creative attacker to their squad.
