The Sunderland player fans would like to see leave this January - HITC poll results

Sunderland manager David Moyes before the match

Sunderland fans have been voting for the player that they would not mind seeing the back of this month.

The results from HITC Sport's poll looking at the Sunderland player fans would not mind to see the back of this month are in. But which player did Black Cats supporters suggest they would not mind seeing sold this month?

3. Vito Mannone (11%)

Despite the current injury to Jordan Pickford, many Sunderland supporters would not mind if Vito Mannone - who has attracted Genoa's attention during this window (via The Sun) - was to leave the Stadium of Light this month. With Mika also in the squad, and Pickford only a few weeks away from returning (via Guardian), perhaps the Black Cats supporters feel that it would make sense to cash in on the former Arsenal man if the money is there.

2. Jack Rodwell (25%)

Jack Rodwell was once one of the brightest prospects in English football, but the only legacy he looks set to leave at Sunderland is the incredible winless run the team has endured when he has started. That run now stands at 36 games, and supporters are understandably concerned. A quarter of those who voted would not mind to see the former Everton man move on.

1. Jeremain Lens (60%)

Jeremain Lens has surely damaged his relationship with Sunderland supporters beyond all repair. David Moyes brandished his comments about wanting the club to go down to enable him to move to Fenerbahce permanently disgraceful (via Guardian), and it appears the fans agree completely. The Black Cats hierarchy would be forgiven for trying to sort out a permanent departure this month if it is at all possible.
