Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli is already considered one of the best players in the league at the age of just 20.

When writing his regular column for Sky Sports, Niall Quinn explained how impressed he was with the performance of Spurs star Dele Alli on Saturday, highlighting the manner in which he scored his goal as a lesson in technique.

Tottenham are one of the league’s in-form sides, and currently sit in third position in the table, with their 20-year-old midfielder leading from the front.

The former MK Dons man has been in scintillating form of late, scoring eight goals in his last six Premier League outings.

He has scored 11 goals in 21 league appearances overall this season and the way in which he times his runs perfectly into the opposition’s penalty box has seen comparisons drawn between him and Chelsea legend Frank Lampard.

And Quinn highlighted how Alli’s technique was a lesson to everyone, when writing his column for Sky Sports, after he scored a header which got his Tottenham side back in the game against Manchester City on Saturday:

“Dele Alli is 6ft 2in and doesn’t play like a big man but on Saturday his headed goal from Kyle Walker’s cross was a lesson in technique.”

And if Spurs are to mount a sustained challenge for the Premier League title, they will need Alli to keep up the kind of form that he has been producing of late.
