The 19-year-old Lille striker is reportedly on the radar of both Everton and West Ham United.

This is exactly why Everton fought tough and nail to prize eminent talentspotter Steve Walsh away from Leicester City in the summer. According to FootMercato, The Toffees have sent scouts to watch Lille’s teenage striker Martin Terrier on action one three separate occasions this season.

Walsh, after all, developed a reputation for wading through the rough to find the odd shining gem with Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and N’Golo Kante, the backbone of The Foxes title triumph, all arriving on his watch.

And now, FootMercato report that Everton are chasing the sort of unheralded, under-the-radar talent that the regime of Farhad Moshiri has so far ignored in favour of established stars.

19-year-old Terrier has only played seven Ligue 1 matches for Lille this season, and is still without a goal to his name, but he’s obviously done enough to prove to The Toffees that he’s worth taking an interest in.

However, The Guardian reported last week that it is far from certain that Terrier will be allowed to leave the ambitious northern French outfit any time soon with new owner Gerard Lopez (below) aiming to take them back to the top of the domestic game.

Therefore, Everton, as well as fellow interested party West Ham, would have to stump up a rather substantial fee to convince Lille to part with one of their most exciting talents.
