Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has taken to Twitter to hint that two more new signings are close to completion – and they could be Barnsley duo James Bree and Conor Hourihane.
Villa threw away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 at home with Preston North End on Saturday afternoon, leaving them nine points adrift of the Championship play-off places.

Manager Steve Bruce was able to hand a debut to new signing Henri Lansbury, but it's clear that the Villa boss needs more quality in his side, as his only other signing this month is goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
Right back and central midfield are two areas that Villa may look to strengthen, and reports suggest that two more players are poised to arrive at Villa Park.
The Mirror claim that Barnsley duo James Bree and Conor Hourihane are set to join Villa once they complete medicals today, after Villa agreed a £5m double deal for the talented pair.

Bree, 19, has come up through the ranks at Barnsley and has starred for Paul Heckingbottom's side this season, with the teenager now being lined up to become Villa's long-term solution at right back.
Meanwhile, 25-year-old midfielder Hourihane could have walked away for free at the end of the season with his contract set to expire, with Barnsley now deciding to cash in on their captain.
The Irishman has been a key player for Barnsley ever since joining from Plymouth Argyle in 2014, hitting 26 goals in his first two seasons with the club before notching six goals and seven assists this term, and he'll reunite with Bruce having worked with the Villa boss at Sunderland.
With medicals allegedly imminent, owner Tony Xia has taken to Twitter this afternoon to drop a major hint, suggesting that two deals are 95% done, with Bree and Hourihane now the obvious targets.
