Reports linking Crystal Palace’s Andros Townsend with a move to Newcastle United have gained momentum over the past few days.
Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has taken to Twitter to vent his anger at the possibility of Andros Townsend returning to former club Newcastle.
The Magpies are reportedly stepping up their interest in the 25-year-old winger, with the Guardian reporting that Rafa Benitez is pushing hard to secure a loan deal for Townsend.

And Jordan, who spent 10 years with the Eagles in the role as club chairman, took to Twitter today, taking a swipe at Townsend for what he believes is a blatant lack of loyalty to his employers:
Townsend has failed to make the impact that was expected of him, after he arrived at Selhurst Park under the weight of a heavy price-tag.
He has shown throughout his career, however, that he possesses incredible talent, and attributes that should be ideally suited to becoming one of the Premier League’s best wingers.

Whether a return to Newcastle would see him realise his potential remains to be seen, and until he does start performing on a more consistent basis, at whatever club he is playing for, questions will continue to be asked regarding whether or not he has what it takes to make it at the highest level.
