Things are finally starting to look up for West Ham United.

When writing his regular column for the club’s official website, West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan offered high praise for his team over this past week, and suggested that they are now looking at Everton in seventh place as a realistic target to aim for.

The Hammers have won back-to-back league games, and now find themselves in 10th position in the Premier League table, eight points adrift of the Toffees, after having to endure a challenging first half of their campaign.

And Sullivan explained what the club’s ambition should be for the rest of the season, when writing his column for WHUFC.com, suggesting that they can now begin to look up, rather than down:

“We are now in the top half and just a few points behind Everton in seventh. Our recent run means we are looking up rather than down and I hope we can ensure that is the case for the rest of the season.”

The East London outfit now have plenty of time to rest, and recharge the batteries in time for their home game against Manchester City on February 1st, with no game scheduled for this coming weekend due to their early exit from the FA Cup.

And if they can continue their fine run of form, they really will be in contention for a top seven spot in the league – something that would have looked like an unrealistic dream just two weeks ago.
