West Ham United seem to have turned their season around with back-to-back victories.

During an interview with the club’s official website, Hammers striker Andy Carroll waxed lyrical about the positive vibes currently emanating from the squad, highlighting how the feel-good feeling has transmitted to better performances on the pitch.

The East London outfit have had to endure an extremely tough week off the pitch, after Dimitri Payet demanded to leave.

The 29-year-old was subsequently banished from the first-team squad, and has been training with the club’s under 23’s over the past week or so.

Slaven Bilic’s men have recorded back-to-back wins since the Frenchman’s highly publicised transfer request, however, with team seemingly galvanised and rejuvenated on the pitch.

And Carroll, 28, has been a leading figure behind their recent revival.

The 6 ft 4 in striker has scored three goals in West Ham’s last two games, and his recent displays have epitomised the Hammers’ turnaround in fortunes.

He spoke to WHUFC.com about how the recent uncertainty regarding Payet’s future has led to the unity amongst the team being even stronger:

“I think the lads have come together even stronger recently with everything that’s going on. You can see on the pitch everyone is working together, putting the graft in, and that’s when the points come. The morale in the dressing room is fantastic. It’s great to be around.”

And West Ham fans will be hoping for their team’s good form to continue, and preferably with a resolution to the Payet situation, one way or another.
