West Ham United are playing hardball with Dimitri Payet.
The saga concerning Dimitri Payet took another twist yesterday, with Sky Sports reporting that Marseille have given up in their pursuit of the Frenchman, and West Ham’s vice-chairman Karren Brady had a strong message for the Ligue 1 club, when writing her column for the Sun.
The 29-year-old is currently training with the club’s under-23 side, after trying to force a move away from East London, and refusing to play for the Hammers.
And with West Ham and Marseille still along way apart on their valuations of the player, a solution that suits all parties seems to be far from being agreed upon.

And Brady had a strong message for the French giants, when writing her column for the Sun, insisting that Payet will not be sold on the cheap:
“If Marseille want a bargain they ought to try Roman Road market. They should know that Dimitri Payet, skilled enough to play for Real Madrid as well as West Ham, isn’t going cheap, should we decide he can leave at all. My chairmen and the manager keep repeating they want to keep Payet. I can assure you they won’t be bullied into agreeing anything that is not in the best interests of WHU.”

The problem for the Hammers is that if they do keep hold of Payet this month, he will surely have to play, or they will literally just be flushing his £125,000 per week salary down the drain.
And with the harmony at the club already affected because of his actions, that would quite clearly not be the best case scenario for any of the parties involved.
