Leeds United star Liam Bridcutt has struggled with injuries this season.
Speaking to the media ahead of his side’s trip to Barnsley tomorrow, Leeds midfielder Liam Bridcutt explained how he learned a lot during his time spent out of the team with injury problems, although he admitted that his teammates’ performances made his absence from the first-team setup easier to handle, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Whites captain moved to Elland Road on a permanent deal in the summer, after spending the previous season on loan with the West Yorkshire club, but has only made 10 appearances for Garry Monk’s men so far this term.

But the 27-year-old spoke of his optimism for the remainder of Leeds’ campaign, highlighting how his time out of the team proved to be a good learning curve for him, as quoted by LeedsUnited.com:
“I’ve had a good run of games now, the most important thing for me was my base work and then to try to pick up my sharpness. Having the injury was a learning curve for me, in my career I’ve never been out for as long, but it helped that the team was doing so well, which kept me in good spirits.”

Leeds currently sit in third position in the Championship table, just six points adrift of the automatic promotion spots, and Bridcutt will be hoping that he can stay fit or the remainder of the campaign, and help drive his side on into the top two positions of the league table.
