Crystal Palace, Sunderland and West Brom are also set to take an interest in the Algerian striker.

Everton may be about to drop their interest in Algerian striker Ishak Belfodil, with nine teams ready to swoop in on the unsuccessful deal.

La Derniere Heure is reporting that Everton have grown tired with the length of discussions for the Standard Liege striker and that they are set to pull the plug on a deal.

Over the weekend it was reported by the Liverpool Echo that Everton’s move to sign Belfodil was being delayed by negotiations with the player’s agent but that the £10.5 million agreement was still on the cards.

Now it is suggested that Everton are to move on to other avenues.

But nine other teams are interested – including four Premier League teams.

Crystal Palace, Sunderland, West Brom and West Ham are all said to be interested in picking up the scraps.

All four teams are looking for new striking options, especially West Ham, who have seen Simone Zaza and Jonathan Calleri flop at the club this season.

But the report also claims that Belfodil, who was adamant on an Everton switch, is now determined to finish the season at Standard Liege.

He also has interest from La Liga side Celta Vigo, Italian club Pescara, Greek giants Olympiakos, Russian team Spartak Moscow and UAE outfit Al-Ain.

But it seems that Belfodil will not be heading to Everton or Crystal Palace, Sunderland, West Brom or West Ham this month.
