Iain Dowie believes West Ham United should move to sign Celtic’s Moussa Dembele and Hull City’s Robert Snodgrass.

Iain Dowie has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 11th January, that West Ham United should sign both Hull City’s Robert Snodgrass and Celtic striker Moussa Dembele in the January transfer window.

West Ham have been linked with Snodgrass and Dembele, as Slaven Bilic looks to improve his squad.

So far the Hammers have been unable to do a deal for either, but Dowie believes that they would both add quality to the Hammers’ line-up.

West Ham have made a £5 million offer for Snodgrass, which has been rejected.

And Dowie feels that the Hammers will have to raise their offer considerably if they are to sign the Scotland international. He said: “So do I [think he would be a good addition]. But I don’t think that’s ever going to touch it £5 million. What does it say, if they sell him? They might as well pack up and go home. Snodgrass is a very accomplished Premier League player now.”

West Ham are also thought to be looking for a new front man in the coming weeks.

Celtic striker Moussa Dembele is said to be on their wishlist, but the Bhoys want £30 million for the forward (Daily Mail).

The fee is very expensive, but Dowie believes that West Ham should pay up to sign the 20-year-old.

“I’d go and grab him,” Dowie said. “He’s got a bit of both. Size and pace, I think Dembele would be a big move. I think that may just get his eyes open wide, he may just fancy that, although I think Brendan Rodgers would want serious money.”
