HITC Sport understands several Football League clubs are chasing Eastleigh defender.
League Two duo Luton Town and Doncaster Rovers are chasing Eastleigh defender Joe Partington, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Partington has impressed at Eastleigh since joining the club from Bournmouth in the summer of 2015 after impressing on loan at the non-league club the previous season.
Partington joined Bournemouth from Portsmouth in 2006 and made 59 appearances for the club while also enjoying loan spells at Aldershot and Eastbourne.
The 26-year-old has represented Wales at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 levels, but found himself surplus to requirements at Bournemouth following their promotion to the Premier League.
The talented right-back is out of contract at Eastleigh in the summer and the National League side have offered him a new deal to try to keep him.
However, Partington’s suitors are aware they may be able to land the full-back for a cut-price fee this January and they are ready to test Eastleigh’s resolve before the transfer window closes.
League Two promotion hopefuls Luton Town and Doncaster Rovers have been tracking Partington for a while as they weigh up bids for the defender, while Scottish Premiership Partick Thistle have also registered an interest in the stopper.
Luton are expected to watch Partington in action on Tuesday against Forest Green Rovers and Eastleigh are bracing themselves for offers for their key defender.
