HITC Sport understands a number of clubs are tracking Chesterfield midfielder.
Chesterfield midfielder Jon Nolan is a target for a number of Championship and League One clubs, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Nolan has established himself as a key man in Danny Wilson’s Chesterfield side since his arrival on a free transfer from Grimsby Town in the summer.
Nolan made 22 appearances for The Mariners last season as he helped them secure promotion to the Football League.
The 24-year-old has been one of the shining lights for Chesterfield in a disappointing campaign in League One so far this season.
Nolan has made 24 appearances in all competitions this season, and his all-action displays have not gone unnoticed among rival clubs.
Championship side Rotherham are admirers of Nolan as they look to bolster their midfield options this month, while Chesterfield’s League One rivals Bradford, Southend United and Shrewsbury Town are also chasing the player.
Chesterfield are reluctant to lose Nolan during this month’s transfer window, but the club’s financial position means they may find it hard to resist a sizeable offer for the midfielder if his suitors firm up their interest
