HITC Sport understands Sheffield United eye Oxford star.
Rob Hall in action for former club Bolton Wanderers
Sheffield United have made an enquiry for Oxford United attacker Rob Hall, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Hall has impressed at Oxford this season after joining the club on a free transfer from Bolton Wanderers last summer.
The former England under-19 international has broken into Michael Appleton's side in the last two months after recovering from a knee injury and he has scored one goal in 11 appearances.
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder
Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder is a big fan of Hall having worked with the pacey attacker during a loan spell at Oxford earlier in his career, when he scored six goals in 14 appearances for the U's in 2011.
Wilder has kept an eye on Hall's progress and he is now weighing up a move for the former West Ham youngster as he looks to bolster Sheffield United's attacking options in January, as he aims to maintain their bid for promotion from League One.
A number of Championship clubs are also understood to be tracking Hall as they look to add to their squads during this month's transfer window.
Oxford are keen to keep hold of Hall and will hope to fend off any interest in the player this month.
