Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters claim a future star following their 0-0 Championship draw against Sheffield Wednesday.
Despite having the better of the encounter, Wolverhampton Wanderers left Hillsborough with a share of the spoils following their 0-0 scoreline against Sheffield Wednesday.

However, Wolves fans were able to find solace in the encouraging progress made since manager Paul Lambert took the hot seat at Molineux, and were also full of praise for their latest debutant, rookie Connor Ronan.

Ronan was making his maiden start for the first team, having featured for the final nine minutes against Nottingham Forest last month, and was a constant threat to Sheffield Wednesday’s defence for much of the encounter – so much so, that manager Lambert singled Ronan out for particular praise upon the full time whistle.
Ronan will be hoping to continue his impressive start to an early taste of Championship football, as the 18-year-old has been starring as the captain of Wolves’ development squad, in addition to representing Republic of Ireland at international youth level.
The game itself could have ended in a Wolves victory, as the visitors hit the frame of Sheffield Wednesday’s goal on more than one occasion, had an effort cleared off the line, missed an open goal and had a valid penalty claim denied by referee Simon Hooper.
The result leaves Wolves in 16th position in the Championship table, but the performance has evidently provided fans of the Wanderers with encouragement for the remainder of the campaign – with many supporters raving about Ronan’s impact and hopes of future contributions to their team’s midfield.
Here’s a sample of the encouraged reaction of Wolves fans towards Ronan, permeated by praise of Lambert’s tenure thus far.
