Celtic's Callum McGregor challenges for the ball

Celtic beat Rangers 2-1 in today's Old Firm derby at Ibrox.

Celtic continued their coast towards the Scottish Premiership title with a 2-1 win over Old Firm rivals Rangers at Ibrox this afternoon.

The Bhoys hammered Rangers 5-1 at Celtic Park in September, and whilst they went into the game hoping to beat Mark Warburton's men again, they did concede the opening goal when Kenny Miller diverted James Tavernier's cross into the net.

Rangers started well but couldn't hold onto their lead, with Moussa Dembele smashing home an equaliser for Celtic after the Gers failed to clear a corner.

Celtic then grabbed a winner in the second half, with Stuart Armstrong low cross being turned in from close range by Scott Sinclair, who was lurking at the back post.

It's now 15 league wins in a row for Celtic, who lie 19 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, and they look set to win the league title for a sixth season in a row.

Many Celtic players impressed at Ibrox, but midfielder Callum McGregor received particular praise from Bhoys fans during and after this afternoon's fixture.

Many noted that, whilst McGregor regular comes in for criticism from fans, he was a key player during today's win, praising him for his second half performance against Rangers.

Some even suggested that McGregor is right at home in an Old Firm game, which may be something to do with the fact that he has spent his whole career with Celtic, meaning the fixture may mean more to him than anybody else.
