Queens Park Rangers are currently sitting in a precarious position in the Championship table.

Speaking live on Sky Sports’ Premier League Daily at 11:29 am, former QPR boss Gerry Francis discussed the current problems at Loftus Road, and speculated as to what Ian Holloway may look to do in the January transfer window.

The Hoops are currently sitting in 20th position in the Championship table, just three points clear of the relegation zone, after a horrendous run of form that has seen them lose six consecutive league games.

And Francis, who enjoyed two separate spells in charge at Loftus Road, believes the January window could prove to be crucial for his former club, telling Sky Sports how Holloway will surely be looking to bolster his squad over the course of the month ahead:

“I feel obviously Ian will be looking to do something in the window, because he’s gone in their and they are not his players as such. I’m certain that they will want to try and do something in the window to give them a bit of help in the second half of the season.”

The West London outfit now face a crucial pair of games against teams in and around them in the table, with a trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers followed by a visit from Ipswich Town, and Holloway must surely be prioritising those fixtures as must win encounters.

There is obviously still a long way to go, but in a league as demanding as the Championship, QPR will need to reverse their poor run of form sooner rather than later if they want to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.
