Witsel, 27, has been one of Europe's top midfielders throughout his spell with Russian giants Zenit, after completing a big-money move from Benfica in 2012.

The Belgian international – who has hit eight goals in 76 caps for his country – has racked up almost 200 appearances for Zenit, scoring 22 goals, but his time with the club is coming to an end.
Witsel's contract expires at the end of the season, and Calcio Mercato report that Barcelona want to sign him on a free transfer next summer, but won't be making a January move for him as they don't need him immediately.

It's added that Juventus want to sign Witsel for €10million (£8.5million), whilst Everton have had another approach snubbed by the player himself.
Zenit boss Mircea Lucescu told Dolce Sport back in August that Witsel rejected a move to Everton before the summer transfer deadline, but that doesn't seem to have deterred the Toffees.
Calcio Mercato claim that Everton offered €15million (£12.5million) for Witsel, but the player has once again snubbed a move to Goodison Park, with his decision seemingly down to either joining Juventus in January or Barcelona next summer.
The move again suggests that Everton want to bring another central midfielder to the club in January, with Gareth Barry turning 36 in February and Idrissa Gueye heading to the Africa Cup of Nations in January, which would leave manager Ronald Koeman short of options unless he can bring somebody in; and it seemingly won't be Witsel heading to Goodison Park in January.
