Celtic, Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers and Aston Villa are all preparing bids for Barnsley midfielder Conor Hourihane.
The Sun report that Celtic, Glasgow Rangers and Aston Villa could all step up their efforts to sign Barnsley midfielder Conor Hourihane, after the midfielder reportedly rejected a new deal with the Tykes.
Hourihane is entering the last six months of his contract at Oakwell, and Barnsley were desperate to keep him.
The Irish central-midfielder has been a key part of Barnsley’s side ever since he joined them from Plymouth Argyle.

However, his talents have not unnoticed, with Rangers, Celtic and Villa all keen to do a deal for the 25-year-old.
Barnsley were hoping to fend off the interest in Hourihane by getting him to commit his future, but the combative midfielder has reportedly rejected a new deal – offering hope to Villa, Rangers and Celtic that a transfer could be done.

Barnsley now may be tempted to cash on Hourihane in January, rather than risk losing him on a free at the end of the season.
The Sun claim that Villa are monitoring the situation most closely, with Steve Bruce’s side now lining up a bid when the transfer window opens again next month.
