HITC Sport understands that The Gunners will allow England Under-21 defender to leave

Arsenal are ready to send out defensive prospect Rob Holding on-loan in January, HITC Sport understands.

A host of Championship clubs are queuing up to take the England Under-21 international central defender – who joined Arsenal in the summer from Bolton Wanderers in a £2.5million deal.

Holding has already tasted first-team action under Arsene Wenger, starting three Premier League games at the start of the campaign – but he has since moved down the pecking order.

Wenger is now keen for Holding to taste some regular first-team action in the Championship, although there has also been interest lower down the Premier League.

HITC Sport understands that the likes of Norwich, Sheffield Wednesday, Aston Villa and Leeds are amongst those showing an interest – whilst both Burnley and Hull City could be interested in keeping him in the top-flight.

Holding had been with Bolton all his career, joining them as a seven-year old before progressing through the ranks into the first-team – where he established himself as first-choice before being snapped up by Arsenal in the summer.
