Jota is said to be the number one target for Rangers manager Mark Warburton and could be on his way to Ibrox.
Glasgow Rangers have received a boost in their pursuit of Brentford attacking midfielder, Jota, according to the Scottish Sun.
Jota is said to be Mark Warburton’s number one January target, having impressed under the Ibrox boss at Griffin Park.

The 25-year-old left the Bees on loan for Eibar in January, however, citing homesickness, but has played just six times for the Basque side this season.
And Eibar are ready to sanction Jota’s return to west London, with Rangers reportedly preparing to pounce.
“Brentford have an option to recall Jota from his loan in January,” said the La Liga side’s sporting director, Fran Garagarza, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
“He’s disappointed that he hasn’t played more games for us and he is within his rights to ask for the loan deal to be terminated.
“If the player wants that and Brentford wants that, then it’s up to them and there’s nothing we can do.”

The report states that Jota’s Brentford contract expires at the end of the season, adding that the Bees expect him to leave next summer.
However, in actual fact, the Spaniard still has another year and a half to run on his deal, which was extended upon his departure 11 months ago.
Rangers are seeking a replacement for the injured Niko Kranjcar, who will miss the remainder of the campaign.
